Cristina tutored my son Jack when he was 6 and 7 years old and I have nothing but the highest praise for the work she did with Jack in building his confidence and helping him to become a competent reader and speller. I had noticed Jack was dropping below his expected year level for reading and spelling and was having difficulty connecting sounds to letters. Cristina provided expert tuition to him and based on her years of experience designed a programme that took him back to basics and taught him skills and methods to improve his spelling and reading ability. She provided an individualised programme in a very caring environment that gave Jack the confidence to believe he was good at English. We saw great improvements and Cristina kept us informed all the way through, providing assessments in graphical format and reports so that we could measure his progress. I will always be thankful to Cristina as I now have an 11 year old son who loves reading and is at the moment tearing his way through the Skulduggery Pleasant series of books. If you are looking for tuition for your child from a caring professional then I thoroughly recommend Cristina.

Cristina tutored my daughter Chelsea during the summer when Chelsea was going into 2nd grade. My daughter had a rough year during 1st grade to the point where the teacher wanted to hold her back. Chelsea was not at the reading or math level to move on to 2nd grade. As a mother I was left with the hard decision of taking the teacher’s advice or take a chance and hope that Chelsea would catch up when she got to 2nd grade. I knew my daughter and her capabilities and I knew she had it in her and so I made the decision to let her move her on. One day I was talking to Cristina and I mentioned Chelsea’s struggles and immediately Cristina offered to tutor her for the entire summer and I agreed. It would have been the best decision I ever made because ever since then Chelsea has been on the honor roll every time and she absolutely loves school! Cristina has a way of teaching that keeps kids engaged and she knows how to draw them out to see what’s preventing them from learning. I will forever be thankful to Cristina for helping Chelsea be the student she is today. Chelsea is going into 9th grade this fall and when we talk about great teachers and mentors, Cristina is always at the top of the list! Thank you Cristina

On 1999, when I was 11 years old my family moved from Brazil to the United States and I was facing one of the most incredible challenges in my life – to learn English as a second language while adapting to an entirely different culture. Even though I was a good student in Brazil, all my grades were dropping because I had to adjust to new teaching methods in math, science, etc., as well as the new language. The best thing that could have happened to me was having Cristina as my ‘English as a Second Language’ Teacher in a program which was available at my school in Connecticut. She was and still is one of the best teachers I have ever had, helping me build my capabilities and self-esteem. I completed my ESL program in school after only six months, being appointed for the honor roll every semester after that. I was always encouraged by her to read and study in English in order to improve my abilities. A few years later I returned to Brazil, graduated college, and until today my English skills are complimented. I believe she is someone who feels great passion in her work and admire her very much for this. I am extremely thankful for everything she has done for me and recommend her work to any parent interested in personalized instruction.
